{"id":1428,"date":"2020-09-14T12:35:48","date_gmt":"2020-09-14T11:35:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/festivalofthemind.sheffield.ac.uk\/2020\/?post_type=event&#038;p=1428"},"modified":"2021-07-09T17:24:40","modified_gmt":"2021-07-09T16:24:40","slug":"brain-orchard-live","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/festivalofthemind.sheffield.ac.uk\/2020\/spiegeltent\/brain-orchard-live\/","title":{"rendered":"Brain Orchard &#8211; Live Event"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Artist Kate Sully and researchers from the Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience (SITraN) talk about their collaboration on the Brain Orchard exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The project<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Fresh from an 8-week residency in Fremantle, Australia, artist Kate Sully returned to Sheffield with an exhibition exploring the latest research into Alzheimer\u2019s Disease (AD). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using digitally printed images of the brain, these vibrant, large-scale artworks provided a creative response to the work of scientists at the Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience (SITraN). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kate worked closely with Dr Simon Bell, Dr Daniel Blackburn and PhD student Manmohi Dake.
