This interaction emphasises the conflict of heat generation and decarbonisation in heavy industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project focussed on the South Yorkshire Sustainability Centre\u2019s research into the decarbonisation of heavy industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This research considers industrial manufacturing processes and the sustainability implications of the most energy intensive point of these industries being the melting point, where the raw material is turned into the final product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The artwork explores the forms of the materials, their transitions through manufacturing processes and the energy required to produce.
