About the exhibit
Can electricity help us spot disease earlier? This interactive exhibit created by Four Communications invites you to become a scientist for the day and explore cutting-edge research into electric-based cancer detection. Based on the work of an interdisciplinary team composed of Dr Rachel Furmidge, Dr Malwina Matella and Dr Mary Paterson, the piece takes you through the process of testing virtual models of healthy and cancerous mouths using specialised diagnostic devices. Put on your lab coat and goggles and discover how electrical currents can be harnessed to identify different types of mouth cancer.
