Uplifting songs on the theme of hope, arranged, conducted and performed by the Chorus UK choir. The song choices were inspired by research being undertaken by staff and students in the Faculty of Engineering that aims to make the world a better place.
The programme included rock classics We Built This City by Starship and ELO’s Mr Blue Sky alongside greats such as Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World. The choir was bolstered for the occasion by members of the Faculty.
Conceived by engineer and long-time choir member Professor Matt Carré, this unique concert conveyed a simple message: though the world is facing immense challenges, human beings have the spirit and the ingenuity to overcome them.
