About the author
Désirée is an author, broadcaster and a trustee with Racial Justice Network. Her work includes poetry and short stories and can be seen in publications including A Generation Defining Itself and Hair: A Journey into the Afro and Asian Experience. Her novel Seduce, set on a mythical island in the Caribbean, was published by Peepal Tree Press in 2013 to much acclaim.
