About the book
The South West Peak District is a varied landscape of moorland, valleys, cloughs and tiny hamlets. Farmers from the area shared their stories with Christine – heroic endeavours in difficult terrain as well as day-to-day work and family life spanning eighty years of farming history. With the future of both landscape and farming communities hanging in the balance they also address sustainability in the short and long term.Christine Gregory is a writer, photographer and artist, and the author of four books about the Peak District. Profits from book sales go to support Bakewell based charity The Farming Life Centre.
