An animated film about the challenges and joys of everyday life in Maputo, Mozambique, where people struggle to access energy and family life is organised around the cookstove.
Film maker Sean Lovell developed the story with Professor Vanesa Castan Broto (Urban Institute), an expert in global environmental change and urbanisation, with a particular focus on the need for reliable, sustainable energy in cities like Maputo.
As overall creative director, Sean worked with animator Kieran Bentley and illustrator Ella Marke to deliver what you see on screen: an engaged and engaging film on the most important subjects of our time: the global energy challenge.
